What started off as just a fun project of making scrunchie bandanas for our 8 dogs and 6 cats ended up with people asking my husband about it on the road. As a truck driver, my husband comes across a lot of people. Being the supportive husband he is, he loves mentioning his wife made them.

A few days after making our basset hound, Cooper, a scrunchie bandana to wear on his trip with my husband, my husband came home and said that a lot of people were wanting it.

I wasn’t ready for a whole business, but I wanted to make these products for people to enjoy and make other fur babies just as stylish as mine.

The hardest part of starting the company was thinking of a name. I wanted something to represent me as a person. An old soul. A person who loved her time with her Nana. Time that consisted of simple crafts such as crocheting, reading,

talking and cooking. We spent a lot of time at secondhand stores in the mid- west as well as antique stores. So, what better name than The Wicker Basket Co.?

A wicker basket is simple and can be filled with whatever you want. Flowers, books, food, yarn. It can be filled with things you love. It can be filled with memories.

Now, I can share it with everyone who shops with me. Everything at The Wicker Basket Co. is made with care and love. One stitch at a time.
